We have heard vitriolic reports about Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) new release. Apple didn’t listen to the professionals and seem to have opted to target the more profitable and larger “pro-sumer” market.

What made us laugh: Apple announces that FCPX is 64bit (allowing use of more than 4Gb RAM). This is such old news for us, as the Adobe Suite of programs made this possible over 1 year ago (another clear indication that Adobe is ahead of the game).

People using Final Cut laughed at us when we started our business using Premiere Pro & the Adobe products. But look now…

However, this will allow semi professional (aka pro-sumers) newcomers to the world of editing to have a cheap editing tool. But don’t forget: L’habit ne fait pas le moine. Good or bad? You decide…
